IMPORTANCE OF A PRE-LISTING HOME INSPECTION
IMPORTANCE OF A PRE-LISTING HOME INSPECTION
One of the main reasons that sales fall through once they are under contract is due to inspection issues. So instead of getting “spooked,” protect yourself from any fallout by having e a pre-listing home inspection done before your home goes on the market.
When it comes to selling your home, knowledge is power.
Regardless of how long you’ve lived in your home or how old it is, there could be unknown issues you are unaware of, and learning about them before you go on the market could save you thousands of dollars (or even a sale).
Here are the main advantages of having a pre-listing home inspection:
1. Sellers can understand the condition of their home and disclose any known defects that are uncovered (and better protect themselves)
2. It allows the seller to make repairs in advance that may otherwise deter buyers (and get multiple quotes to find the best price for repairs)
3. Sellers gain credibility and trust with potential buyers and stand out from the competition
4. It increases your home’s attractiveness, demonstrates your motivation, and helps buyers make a more educated offer
5.Prevents buyers from subtracting thousands for what may be a few hundred dollars worth of repairs
