It’s no secret that inventory levels are at record lows, and finding a home in our current market can be slightly challenging, however, there are still ways to find that dream house you’re looking for! The key? Teaming up with the right agent — one with the determination and creativity required to navigate these unique circumstances and employ unconventional methods to find inventory.
Here are just a few ways I help find my buyers their perfect home in this market:
If there’s a particular neighborhood you’d love to be in, I’ll go door to door to see if anyone has considered selling!
Similar to door knocking, I will send letters and postcards to a neighborhood (or a few) to see if anyone has thought about selling or knows of a neighbor who has.
Expired & Withdrawn Listings.
I comb through the expired and withdrawn listings on the MLS to see If anything meets my buyers’ needs. If I see a home that may be a great fit, I will call the owner or previous agent to see if I can get my buyer(s) an appointment.
These are homes that are not listed on the MLS, but sell by word-of-mouth. Since I am very active in the area, I hear about most, if not all, of the “off-market” properties.
So, while I’m out there knocking on doors, sending mailers, and tracking down expired listings and off-market gems, remember that we’re in this together.
